I have the 2.7 GHz MacBook Pro with Retina display, and I’m working on a project with Alexa ProRes 422 HQ Log files. I can play back with several nodes in realtime (24fps), but when I try to render out back to ProRes files, I’m only getting 1 FPS. Is that normal because I don’t have a second GPU? Why so slow?

    Thanks!

I’m an idiot. The default render speed is 1 FPS. WTF? Why is the that the default?!? Anyway, problem solved, user error. Now rendering at 42+ FPS and driving the CPU up to 700%+!
