    HI guys,
I am getting very slow previews when trying to preview animations i am creating. I bought a mac pro as was sure this would speed things massively (spec attached) but still not getting real time preview. Running after effects cc 2014. Any advice? (I’m attempting only 5-10 second previews and no fx either, just some puppet pins…) Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

There’s a bug in El Capitan with CC 2015. Happily, there’s a fix!
You can apply to join the beta for 13.7.1 that solves the problem.

In the meantime, if you need to work right away, you can simply dock another panel underneath your timeline to move your timeline up a little from the bottom. It doesn’t matter which panel (and it can be resized pretty small).
