    Hi everyone!

I’m having a little problem with AE cs4… I worked on a spot that’s HD 720p … Everything went well, until I rendered it. After 15 mins. it was done…But I started using the computer again and it was terribly slow. After effects took minutes closing, even though the memory was relatively empty (i use iStat on the menubar). Even after it was done closing, my computer was really slow; I had to restart. Ever since I’ve done that project, the same thing happens.

I’m exporting a Quicktime movie, no compression, no audio.
    1280×720 @ 59.94 fps

I’m using an 8core 2.8 Ghz Mac Pro, with 8 GB ram.

    Thank you very much! 🙂

no no, every time that I render that project it happens… I reboot and the computer works normally. Hopefully there won’t be more changes to it, but I don’t want the same thing to happen every time I work an HD project.

sorry if my english isn’t perfect 🙂

    thanks

Hmm, i don’t find the same problem, but i have noticed a few times that after working on very big comps (bigger than 2k resolution) it does get a bit chuggy.

One thing that may help is going to Edit > Purge and clearing up the caches… perhaps they are storing some of the render and slowing it down through that? Not sure, but it may help.

Old post but I can’t find any information on this problem. Did you find a solution?

This has started happening to my computer since I began using the Render Queue… I was using “Export” before to avoid this same problem.

Obviously not a very common problem so I’m thinking it’s just a shite setting I have somewhere.

    Any insight appreciated, thanks!
