  Slow multicamera previews

  After experiencing problems with slow previews making editing impossible I upgraded to a new i7 machine with plenty of ram but I am still experiencing the same problems with Sony Vegas 10 pro.

  There is tremedous lag which, once again, is making editing very difficult. This happens whether or not I am running a full screen preview on my secondary monitor.

  This is a 3 camera multicam edit using SD MPEG files on a i7 2600k w 16GB of Ram using multiple HDs. Rendering is fine but preview is bad (laggy . Preview is set to Preview (Auto). Single video editing is fine, multi track (txt, lower thirds, graphics, is fine. Only multicamera has a problem. I’ve even adjusted the size of Dynamic Preview from 512MB to 2084MB hoping that would make a difference but it did not.

  Any ideas?
