Slow Motion help, getting strobe echo type effect instead?

If you find that your slow motion exhibits flicker, you can enabling the Video Bus track (in the View menu), adding a Motion Blur envelope, and setting it to somewhere between 2-4. You can also try right-clicking on the event, select Properties, and click on reduce interlace flicker. Don

Hi I don’t have the answer to your qustion but rather another question!!! how do you speed up or slowmo in Vegas I’ve always used AE7 for that and it works great but would like to know how you do it with Vegas

The same way you shorten or lengthen a clip (with the bracket) except you hold down the “ctrl” key while doing so.

you can use a velocity envelope to control the speed of the clip or you can use the playback properties.
They all do the same job.
Vegas generally has at least 3 ways to do any 1 thing.

Ok so I went back and tried slow motion in my friends Premiere Pro and wow what a difference. I am either going to do all my slow motion there then use Vegas for everything else or considering the switch. It really frustrates me that much that I would consider this. Considerign I have a big project comign upt he relvoves around slow motion.

Well for audio you will be out of phase if you go over 15 to 20% time stretch you are basically chopping the audio file in blocks spreading them appart and whatever is in between those blocks gets filled with estimated samples there’s only so much you can do when you time stretch an audio file
