Activity Forums Boris FX Particle Illusion Slow Data Scan

    Hey fellow PI3ers,
I’ve been using PI3 both full and piAE for a while now and some years ago successfully used the Slow Data Scan preset as a transitional element (with a mask) for an SD video. Now I’m trying to use it for a full 1920×1080 frame. I place the particle at 1920 to go from right to left. yet the particle dissolves at about frame 240 (ish). I have checked EVERY property in the preset (including sub-particles) and cannot locate a change in any property at this point. Any ideas? Thanks.

Is this the Pro Emitter? What is the exact emitter name (and library)?

Yes. Thanks, Alan. It is a PE Emitter: PE_Eclectic_01. It’s driving me nuts!

Increase “f-life”. The free emitters that are creating those particles are dying too early.
