Slot Switching
Looking for a quick answer here…
I was testing to see if there was a jump in recording while my EX-1 switched from slots A to B.
When I try to import them into FCP or my computer it won’t allow me to select the clip. I can view it fine but that is all. The file says “incomplete”.Am I missing something? Or can you not import a clip that has switched during recording?

Seamless, no jump.
Really wishing COW had a “sticky” feature for this.
In Sony XDCAM Transfer 2.8 make sure ALL folder for the project have been added to the left. Then SELECT ALL. Then IMPORT ALL.
If you MUST import individual clips then look for the file that appears as a .SMI which connects split/spanned clips. You MUST have the folders available on the left for all parts to be found. I’ve had a single clip spanning 3 cards and it imports as one long clip. Just follow above instructions (simplest) or find the .SMI.
