slipping out of sync problem
I’m interning at this production house and an editor is having a problem and wants me to solve it,
basically when he tries to slip footage the 2nd video track goes out of sync and there’s no way for him to tell if it’s out of sync unless he plays it. This is because video track 1 is the A camera, and track 2 is the B camera. However track A is linked to the audio track, and because FCP doesn’t allow you to link two video tracks to audio B must remain unlinked and is thus becoming unsynced when the editor tries slipping clips.Any suggestions?

Well, he should be slipping both tracks the same amount and this wouldn’t happen…
or MUCH better yet, get him to start using multiclips… it’s a single file then that will slip up to 64 different camera angles at the same time. Read about how in the manual.. just search on “multiclips” He’s using a very old method actually, and mulitclips will save a TON of time.
