April 5, 2009 at 7:51 pmYeah, remember my little blog posting with you and I from Las Vegas where we were “looking at Final Cut Pro running on the iPhone.” I recall several rumor sites running wild with that story. Absolutely hilarious.
I can already see the posts in this forum… “Geez, when is Apple going to give us BluRay authoring on the iPhone?!? I NEED IT NOW APPLE!!! Are you listening?!?”

If you think FCP on the iPhone is cool, wait until you see the new CalDigit mini HDOne. Smaller than a fingernail, with 7.5Gb at Raid-5 or Raid-6.

Not to get “political”, but which is it? RAID 5 or RAID 6?

April 6, 2009 at 2:27 amDavid, I think that photo is a fake, to run FCP you need at least the iPhone 3G but they recommend the soon to be released 3Gx. From what I have heard (from a source very close to Apple) is that they are all ready to release this but they are having problems with Compressor crashing if you get a phone call while encoding to H264.

No way, I’m beta testing this solution now Michael. Editing RED 4K in real time while conferencing works flawlessly, and the h.264 bug you’re referring to was spotted and fixed, and is now GPS equipped as well. And, I must say, the new quad 36-core micro-mini Nehalem processor upgrade for the iPhone is really hot, and the upgrade is only $5.00 if you sign a lifetime agreement with AT&T.

April 6, 2009 at 5:07 amI’m excited to try out the live multi cam editing feature that lets you record up to 6 streams if live video chat on the phone.
It really is going to make multi cam edits of live events much easier, and you can even stream your live multi cam edit to a website using mobile me.
Now I just need to order some steadicam attachments for the iPhone.

Well you will be able to run it on the iPod Touch as well.
