April 6, 2009 at 3:47 pmCloud editing is closer than you think. Beta versions are out there. Some by companies you wouldn’t expect.

April 6, 2009 at 5:20 pmEven closer and more useful is Clown editing, were you can automatically have random clowns, that has wondered into the frame, removed and replaced with a person of your choice.

April 6, 2009 at 5:31 pmIf you guys are telling the truth you are in trouble, you have to learn the code of the rumor-mills, you NEVER say “I have…” it is “I’ve heard…”
But I have to say the multicam feature, as I have heard, can replace an entire production truck, up to 10 camera can be streamed to the iPhone with full raster HD via the new HD codec (IBSML), not only is it 10-bit but it upconverts everything to 4:4:4 color space and is a lossless compression scheme. Best thing is it is said to be only 25MB/hr.
We may need to cool it or the apple folks my come and shut down the Cow.
Oh, one more thing I heard, AT&T is going all satellite, no drop outs anywhere, no roaming, no international boarders. Turn it on and you have reception and internet everywhere and anywhere!

April 6, 2009 at 5:40 pmI love the clown editing, but honestly, I could do without unless they fixed Media Manager. Any word if they fixed it on the iPhone version?

how is this joke post any different from putting a Canon EOS D5 Mk II on a SteadiCam. Isn’t putting a “DSLR” on a Steadycam to do 1080i HD images just as much a fantasy (but is a real product).
“Oh yea, in December 2008, they are going to have a little still camera whose images look like a RED, and you can put it on a Steadycam”. Who would believe this in April 2008 ?Bob Zelin
ps – David Roth Weiss just blew his NDA with Cal Digit ! -

“Me, because I’ve been in TV long enough to realise that all that matters now in 2009 to 90% of TV companies is price. Or how cheap stuff can be made for. It is that horrible phrase, 50% effort, 80% result.
There are ‘programmes’ over here that break my heart when I see them go out. The producers actually don’t realise how bad they are.
Just wait until the movie “Shot completely with an iphone” turns up. Yes you guessed it, there wasn’t the budget for a Canon!

April 8, 2009 at 3:33 pmOld school me just hates the proliferation of extra features in a f____king phone, a phone is for talking to people for God’s sake. We have all these other hardware solutions to do our jobs, why should the phone be a part of that? iPhone is a curse to our sanity. What a terrible mistake. Mi dos pesos…
Have a wonderful day.
