Slideshow (stills) in FCP 7: Pro Res 1920×1080 30P?
I’m kind of stuck here – I need to start editing tonight but I can’t reach anyone to verify what they told me. I am creating a slideshow (just audio mp3’s and jpeg still images – no video) and I asked what I should work and export in and they said: “Sequence Type: Apple Pro Res 1920×1080 422 HQ 1920×1080 30P”
This is for a show on a digital projector in HD I assume, but when I choose apple pro res easy set up, it’s only 24p and they seem to imply I should be in 30p. Any thoughts for the best way to do this? Does it matter what I do for the setup if I just export it as H.264 (which they also said to do?) I don’t know how to work with non-video footage so well, any help appreciated!!!

I have that setting at 30p here…? Look in the sequence presets. It’s there for sure in FCP 7.

In ‘Sequence Settings” under “General?” and if they want it H.264 output, do I choose that in sequence settings or do I do that just when exporting it? Thanks for your help!

Just select any sequence, and type cmd+zero to open it’s settings. From there you can load the preset for the 1080p… compress the final to h.264, but edit in 1080 ProRes.
