Skipping or Cracking During Capture
Hey guys first post here, Ive been using Vegas 6,7 for about 2 years with the same CPU, and lately when I transfer video from my Camcorder to Vegas it has been skipping or cracking.
I have a Sony Handycam DCR VX2100
100 Gb Hardrive
512 Mb of Ram ( I thought that was the problem but this just happen out of no were)
Any info would be appreciated! Thanks -

I’m not sure what you mean by “skipping or cracking”. Is it dropping frames during capture? Is your hard drive getting full? Have you defragmented it lately? Did you install any new software that might load in the background and interrupt the capture? Any and all of these can cause dropped frames.

As well as what John said, can you see the same defects if you play the tape back in the camera?
