Skipping, And Plug-in Problems
I must say, That i am very happy with sony vegas, But recently it has become worthless…Everytime i render out a video, Its skips horrifically, and its worthless. This didn’t always happen, So im not sure if i changed somthing or Whatever, But Im using Pro 8.1, And it even skips in pro 8. Also, I got pro 9. It doesn’t skip, but all of the effect plugins are missing. Any idea how to solve either problem?

There could be several reasons why this is happening but without more details, we can only make uneducated guesses.
What OS are you running?
What CPU do you have?
How much RAM?
How many hard drives?
What kinds of files are you having problems with?
What format are you rendering to?
What FX plugins are missing? -

The effects plug-ins are probably missing because they are 32-bit plug-ins and you are using the 64-bit version of Vegas Pro 9.0. Use the 32-bit version of Vegas Pro 9.0 and your 32-bit plug-ins will reappear.

Im running windows 7
I have a core 2 duo
4Gb of RAM
1 500 Gb hard drive
It doesn’t seem to matter what file type i render to
I usially render to .Wmv
In vegas pro 9 im missing all standard plugins such as the color corrector and the cookie cutter
