skin tone color correction challenge
I shot a video interview with a friend on a partly overcast day. Here’s a snap from the footage:

As you can see, we look really pale! I’m brand new to color correction–have gone over several tutorial on the net, so I can use the various tools. But I don’t actually know what to do with them. I’ve messed around with the settings for color correction, levels, etc. but can’t confidently say it’s a lot better than what I started with.
From looking at this picture, which Sony Vegas tools (I have platinum 9) would you use, and what would you specifically do with them?

I’m not sure what tools platinum has, but I would recommend bumping up the saturation some. That will boost the greens of the foliage and the skin tones.
However, you have overexposed some of the shots. The arms and the forehead are most troublesome as they are extremely bright. Look here to see if this will help you. It may not work completely for you as it is done in Vegas 9 pro and platinum may limit you here.
