July 13, 2006 at 11:31 amI suppose different manufacturers use different color L.E.D.s for these, but my other MediaVault has ones that glow green and the L.E.D.s on this 2.5 TB MediaVault are glowing amber. Until I can get an answer from tech support at Ciprico, anybody know with certainty that they should be green? What’s the chance of both of them going bad (or showing bad) at the same time?

July 13, 2006 at 11:34 amEverything should be green, unless they’ve been amber all along. Generally green is good, amber signifies a problem, red signifies failure.

I have a Huge Media Vault, I have read in the manual and been told by them that the six beeps is related to your SCSI connections. They are flimsy at best, once when I had this problem they replaced my cables, but even then, I check and tighten my connections at least once a month, as the G5 generates a lot of vibration.
Have a wonderful day.

July 13, 2006 at 2:01 pmChris – I am waiting for Ciprico to open in California, and trying to make the best use of the time this morning. On my older 1.8 TB MediaVault the terminators glow green. On the 2.5 TB MediaVault they are glowing amber. They are original equipment (just two months old) and I need to find out if that could be the source (or indicator) of my problem. I have removed and retightened everything, but will do it again just in case. How about your terminators?
