Single GPU
Hi,
I’ve got macpro1.1 and it has only 4 slots(3 of them are busy) so i need to run davinci resolve with only 1 gpu.
Is there someone with experience with 6850/6770 or 5770 video card.
Or what is the best performanse solution for about 150-200$.
I need realtime playback mostly for HD 4:4:4 or Prores 422.Thanks

The 1,1 Mac-Pro has PCIe V1.0 slots and cannot sustain the needed memory bandwidth to and from the GPU for resolve to work and especially not with 1080P 444 footage.

With 5750 video card i can play up to 15-19 fps with 3-4 nodes.
I’m just asking is 6870 ok to work as single gpu for resolve if anybody has some experiense

Try a proper GTX
285 or 470modded for 300 bucks, you need it anyway.A slice of color…

Its weird because i can play and capture RGB 444 and Prores with no problem.Only when it plays with resolve i’ve got 12-14 frames with 3-4 nodes.
I also have decklink 3d extreme.Does resolve use it for some acceleration or everything passes trough gpu?
