simultaneous hdv and sd versions for broadcast
What is the best way, in terms of quality, to output identical hdv and sd versions of an hdv edited timeline? The sd version will have to be panned and scanned at times to accomodate roving 4:3 framing within the original 16:9 image. Will an fcp/quicktime sd software downconversion process yield “acceptable for broadcast” results or is a hardware based(kona, etc.) solution the way to go? Thanks again for all your help.
