    Hi.
I am filming with two cameras. 1. 5d mark ii and 2. another that gives me 30p and 60p material.
I want to simulate a lower frames/second framerate to make it look more filmish and not so smooth. Whats my best bet with FCP X?

Just bring higher framerate video clip to lower framerate timeline and it will be skipping frames and creating “filmic look”.

If actual speed is not so important for you maybe you want to bring 60fps/30fps material to 24fps timeline and select conform frame rate from clips speed options. This way it’ll play all frames from original video with slower speed.
