I’ve known for a long time that it is easier to write long than a short story. I lean on the story generally, apple is playing a pretty crazy game.

During our meetings, I’m constantly questioning why Apple chose to do something, or why they didn’t do more, or suggest features that are needed but not yet implemented. As the entire Final Cut team knows, my goal is to provide feedback from the field, offer suggestions to improve the product, or determine the status of fixing problems.

The fun part of this game is that Apple never answers “Why?”

it’s the last X question really – why decapitate your own pro-apps in the first place and why kill your own party political presence in editing.

The problem is metallurgy and marc newson and jonathan ive and aluminium and steel and gold.

What are you trying to say Aindreas?

You have severely miss quoted Larry Jordans blog to support your ‘lets knock Apple again’ post. In fact you have actually put words in Larry mouth! Now like him or loath him one thing you can say for Larry is that he is the most evan handed NLE commentator / trainer out there and the blog you have carved up is basically in praise of the new features in the FCPX interface . . . he concludes

‘To me, this is the great strength of Apple: it is not afraid to tweak the interface, even if it runs the risk of making the rest of us feel uncomfortable until we learn the new system. Adding flashy new features is fun; but can be done by anyone. Continuing to streamline and refine the interface is essential; and that can be done only by Apple.’

And he doesn’t even use the product he bashes. Sad.

Yeah, nothing to see or read here. Move along, folks..

Ok that’s totally disarming or even charming and we will call off Larrys boys who were going to invite themselves round to share your breakfast with you.

What’s just alarming is David Lawrence liked his post too…;-)

Maybe this Forum should be named “FCP X baseless bashings for PPro fanatics”

    [Dean Neal] “for PPro fanatics”

    Shouldn’t that be PPro “tenants”?

To Aindreas’ own confession, I’m thinking more along the lines of “FCPX or Not: Properly Pacing Drinking and Posting.”

So very true. A lesson in life could be: ” Its best not to (fill in your action here) after you get back from the pub”.

    🙂
