I have received an architectural model of a commercial building. It is crazy how much detail is in there! (It’s a BIM so includes every nut and bolt, nearly…). I’ve had the Revit file converted to .fbx so I can open it in C4D and there are just under 5000 objects in the C4D.

I intend to get this model into Element 3D but first I need to simplify it.

Is there any way that I can delete all objects which are not seen by the camera (i.e. everything internal) as I only need the outer shell / structure of the building in order to proceed.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has any ideas!

    Cheers!

Its it well ordered? Like, all the nuts are called NutXXX or something? You can use the search parameters in C4D object manager to only show you those objects and then delete them all at once. Or you could order them by name in the structure list and do it there.
The search and structure list will ignore hierarchy so you don’t have to open every folded assembly.
