Simple task but can’t find any answer
I’m struggling to find out how to do this simple task.
Basically, I have a video that last 60 mins, I want to split it to 6 parts for 10 minutes each for youtube or whatever. I want to add a text NOT on entire 60 mins, but only 20 seconds at the end of each 10-minutes video clip.
It is very easy to do manually do for every single file. In Vegas, I have to select the part, drag the text box at the end of the selection part, click “Make Movie,” and wait for it to be done, then do the second file.
That is too time consuming because I have to be at the computer after the 1st 10-minutes clip is done, then continue to do the second clip. My question is: Is there a way to add a task list, such as using multiple selections so the software automatically process to the next clip?

Since you said “Make Movie”, I’m assuming you’re using a “Movie Studio” version of Vegas. If you update to the full version of Vegas (i.e. Vegas Pro 8), you can do exactly what you’re wanting to do via the use of scripts.

I do have the Pro version, I just found the movie version is more newbie-friendly.
Thanks so much for the help, would you please, if it’s not too much of your time, post a little bit more details of how to use the script? Or what kind of tutorial “keyword” should I search for for such a task?

Tools – Scripting – Batch Render is a script you can use that comes WITH Vegas. You can set up regions on the timeline and it will render reach region to a different file.
