  • significant brightness shift in renders???? Pls help ASAP!

    Hi all

Have been working in After Effects and bringing in all the shots into premier for the final edit. All the shots look fine out of after effects, and when viewed in premier, but when rendered out (have tried a variety of codecs) shots become significantly brighter. Saturation doesnt seem to be effected but the black/white points seem to drastically shift.

For now i am just gonna tweak the levels/curves and render that but really this is unacceptable, and should not happen with a, supposedly, pro grade software.

This has never happened to me before, if though using the same workflow. Any ideas? What am i missing here?

    Need help ASAP!

    Cheers

Does this shift happen in clips containing alpha channels ?

Most of the shifts I’ve experienced (in preview, as well as through firewire) did not transfer to the exported files…

Nah, these are final composites coming out of after effects with no alphas, at animation ‘Best’ quicktimes. Looks fine in premier up till export. Like i said, never happened before even though i have used the same workflow!
