Wow, if I use it for nothing else, the jog functions to move forward snd backward throught the time line and replace the + and – keys is just great…Only issue is that when you install it, you need to choose Vegas 7 and then go find the Vegas.exe file and assign it to the software. Once done, it seems to just work. Since I’m right handed I have my wheel mouse on the right and the shuttlepro on the left. If you use Vegas a lot, this seems to be an accessory you should have.

So far, 4 stars. Maybe after I’ve had it a while and customized it more, I’ll push it to 5.

Running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Vegas 10 64 bit.

Actually Vegas Pro 10 ships with a Shuttle Pro V2 template.

Open the Shuttle Pro V2 Control Panel and choose Options | Import Settings and navigate to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Vegas Pro 10.0\Sony - Vegas Pro 10 -- ShuttlePRO v2.pref

These are the settings for Vegas Pro 10.

Thanks John! The manual for this thing is it’s weakest link. You’d think that they would mention that in it!

I’m not sure which manual you are referring to but it’s documented on page 488 of the Vegas Pro 10 manual. I don’t know how Contour would know that Sony was planning to ship templates so the Vegas manual seems the correct one to be documenting it in.

Yeah I see it there now, but when I installed the SPV2 I used the installation instructions from them (as probably most people would ). They had listed a lot of the earlier versions of Vegas, and I think it’s a fair assumption to make that maybe nothing changed since V6 for something like this plug in. A lot of the keystrokes for these basic functions likely haven’t changed much, or that’s what I thought.

But yes, it’s all there. Works great now.

By the way, I think that John’s directions would work for 32 bit Vegas 10. My 10.c 64 bit required me to navigate to the
C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 10.0 which are the 64 bit versions of the program. There was nothing under the 32 bit subdirectory he mentioned.

Yea, that’s the problem with 32 & 64-bit Windows. Everything is in different places and on 32-bit XP it is the same place as 64-bit Windows 7/Vista.
