    Hi,

I’ve noticed since upgrading to Tiger, sometimes when I go to shutdown, my G5 won’t.
All the icons will fade from the screen and all that remains is the blue background and the mouse pointer…forever.

I usually have to do a hard shutdown with the power button on the G5.

Any thoughts to why this happens would be greatly appreciated…thanks!!

    Jeff

Try repairing permissions, run the cron tasks if you haven’t already done that. If none of that worked think back and see if you can tie it to an applicaiton that you were running before trying to shutdown. Also try looking in activity monitor and see if there are any tasks that are stopped or stuck before you try to shutdown.

    Hope this helps…

    Best of luck
