  shuddering text and jerky frames

  I have built an NTSC DVD from some 23.976 progressive footage – encoded to M2V with premier pro 2 (set to NTSC 23.976 progressive). It’s perfect replaying on a progressive display, however when playing back on an interlaced TV, the text (photoshop – rasterized – after effects) shudders terribly, and wherever there is long slow smooth movement you can see a jerkyness ever few frames (presumably bad pulldown?). Is there anything that can be done to resolve these issues?
