    Did you hit CMD-SHIFT-1 ? That would hide the Event library…

    As for a document on the commands how about the … manual ? Chapter 17 starting at page 438 lists all the shortcuts and comments.

    The manual is a searcheable pdf, so no great effort required there…

    just my 2 cents

    Menu -> Window -> Show Event Library. The shortcut is: Shift-cmd-1. You can also use the Help menu in FCP X for these kind of problems.

    Command-option-k opens the ‘mission control’ panel of fcpx.

    Mess around with it. It’s awesome.

    It has commands by key, you can also search through by task (“editing” etc).

    You can create new command sets or restore defaults.
