I am cutting a short shot on Red in FCP7.
My timeline is ProRes Proxy, my red footage was transcoded to ProRes proxy at 2K (2048×1080.)

My issue is that one scene has been shot on a t2i (1920×1080.)
I know how to handle both cameras on their own but i’m wondering if you could give me some advice as to the best workflow.

I have compressor and Mpeg Streamclip.
Part of me wants to upres to 2K in Mpeg Streamclip. It feels dirty saying that but when I ponder it, it seems my other alternative would be to scale in FCP or AE.

So I am curious if any of you gents are experienced in the field, especially when dealing with matching a DSLR to 35mm or 4/5K R3D footage.

    Thanks for your consideration,

Lacking information: What is your FINAL DESTINATION format?

TIP: Avoid as many transforms as possible. Specifically, as far as your final output is concerned, *all* of your camera original footage should go through no more than ONE transform.

Tip TWO: Do not scale anything for *final* in Final Cut Blow – the algorithms are terrible. After Effects is okay.

Determine your delivery format, and work backwards from there.
