  • Should a layer lose its Auto-Orientate setting when used as Matte

Posted by Chris Huggett on October 4, 2007 at 1:11 pm

    Hi guys

I have a row of beads, lined up singularly from top to bottom. The beads are from a pre-comp of a solid with the sphere effect applied.

I have a camera orbiting around these beads, using a null. I have applied “orientate towards camera” to this layer, so the beads always appear 3D as the camera orbits.

I have been asked to place an image inside a section of these beads. using the layer as an alpha matte, my beads layer now seems to fail to auto orientate to camera. Should this happen?

    Thanks
    Chris
