Hello chihiro,
It depends on whether the audio input on the 5D Mk IV is mono or stereo. If you get the wrong cable, you’ll have problems. You might need a special cable that spreads the mono output of the mic across both camera inputs. This one should work: https://bhpho.to/2Fh65qa
Also, the work I’ve done on a Mk III tells me that you don’t want to increase the MK III input gain past one dot on the screen. If you do, the noise will increase dramatically. In that position, the camera may not get sufficient level. The best advice is to put the NTG 4+ though a mixer, set the camera input for the first gain dot and fill up the level with mixer output.
More than you wanted to know, but here’s an excellent one channel preamp from Sound Devices: https://bhpho.to/2R7gnf8
Even better, if you can find a good used one of these…here’s the perfect video for you.
