James not sure I’ve understood your question, are you trying to replace a clip in a storyline with a gap clip? If so select the clip, and on a MBP press FN+Delete.

Thanks…okay got it…on my imac keyboard it’s shift + delete but if you physically go into the edit drop down menu and look for “replace with gap” I may be a dunderhead but that looks like the tab button to me. Perhaps it’s the forward delete key that I have never seen on a mac keyboard.
