Shortcut to jump from browser to viewer?
Hi everyone, I’m new to Final Cut but am getting a feel for it and am nearly mouse-free when it comes to what I’m doing (lots of sub-clip creating from big clips)
However, the one shortcut I haven’t been able to find online or on my own is how, after creating a subclip and having it saved to the browser, to then be able to jump back to the viewer to continue reviewing footage and creating subclips – I’m sure there must be a way to do this without having to mouse over to the viewer and clicking it, but I haven’t been able to find it listed on the shortcut sheets I’ve found
So I’d appreciate if anyone could tell me how to do this

You can jump around the windows by pressing Apple+1 or +2 or +3 etc.
The default for the viewer is Apple+1.
Is that what you mean? The shortcuts are listed right next to the window names under the ‘window’ drop-down at the top.
Hope that helps – sometimes the answers are right under your nose!

I actually did figure it out (right after posting) and was going to answer my own question when I found I was cleared for posting but you beat me to it – I know I had used that shortcut to open/close the window before, could have sworn I tried it in this situation but apparently I did not – it is a nice time save and can’t believe I didn’t find that over the course of weeks (though wasn’t searching for it full time)
