    Hello all,

I am shooting some B roll and interviews for Turner Network next week.

They are asking for 1080i 29.97.

I am in PAL land so my thoughts are to

    Switch camera to 59.94

    Change frame rate to 30fps

I get recordings at 29.97 when the post house plays the tape on the 1200 with the up converter to 1080i on.

This stream is unflagged it just happens because of the set up

    Am I right

60p would be a better match for 60i 1080. It will transcode nicely to 1080.

    Forgive my ignorance!

So 60p is only slo-mo if made so in post,if not its close/the same as old regular 60i,except ofcourse 2 progressive fields rather than 2 interlaced?

Is this total bollocks,if so why?

    Thanks

Two progressive frames. It has the appearance of 60i video without the interlacing issues. This is why sports producers love 60p.

Slow mo only applies when the footage is converted to play back at 24 or 30 frames.

    No bollocks.
