    Hi All,

I’m shooting a concert in London in a couple of weeks using PAL Digibeta cameras and recorders. I have to deliver the final edit to my clients in New York on NTSC.

How should I best approach the edit with FCP? Should I keep the whole thing PAL then have a standards transfer made afterwards?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Steve.

    Yes.

We have delivered a series for overseas distribution and we cut the entire thing in NTSC, then shipped the master to New York for conversion to PAL. You really want this done in hardware to get the best possible quality.

Thanks Walter – I suspected that was the best way to proceed – good to have it confirmed by an expert.

    Cheers,

    Steve.

Is there a software method you could suggest? Thank you.
