Shooting in HD on Canon XHA1 w/ Focus Firestore FS-100 Hard Drive
I recently got a couple of hard drives to extend the life of my Canon XHA1. I just got a Focus Firestore FS-100 Hard Drive (along with my previous post question about my FS-5). Whenever I try to record in standard definition (DV) the hard drive records perfectly, however whenever I try to record in HDV mode I cannot get the hard drive to work.
How can I make this hard drive record in HD?

What kind of drive is it ? SSD or Disk ? Is it formatted in NTFS, FAT32, etc…? Sometimes if they are not formatted FAT32 it could create problems. Try it out and let me know. The draw back with FAT32 is that you are limited in the size of the file. When you try to put them together you get a couple of dropped frames and some audio loss. Mind you some capture software will make them seamless when you use them to transfer your files from your capture unit to your PC
