Shoot with SONY – NX5 ( 50i ) – Edit with VEGAS – but ENCORE keeps re-encoding to BLURAY !!
So my problems seems pretty stupid. I have an event shot with an Sony NX5 camera in 1080 – 50i ( PAL ) – mts file types.
After doing my regular edit in VEGAS – I want to create a BLU-RAY using Adobe Encore – but if I render out of VEGAS as MPEG2 1080i PAL and import this file into Adobe Encore – I get that Encore wants to re-encode the whole thing again ( says Untranscoded ). How the hell do I render a file from VEGAS so Encore would “see” it as a compilant Blu-Ray file so it wouldn’t try to re-encode it again – costing me time, hdd space and of course video quality as re-encoding twice. Would a different format ( h264 ) work ?
I tried rendering separate audio/video files but to no avail.
The problem seems stupid and simple but I really wanna get to the bottom of this.
Thanks
