    Hello,
I just got the new shine from trapcode/Rdgiant for AE CS3. whenever I apply shine to anything, it looks fine, but when I render out with lower fields (QT motionjpeg and Animation) everything looks dulled and seems like an interlace thing. I say this because I did a test on just plain text and rendered out one with lower fields on and one with it off. The one with it off looks good, but I need to render out with lower fields. anyone experience this or have a suggestion?
    thanks

Can you upload to a server and provide the link? If not try emailing them to me.

When you render to fields are you reimporting it into AE to look at it? AE will be separating the fields on import, which will give you a resolution-hit. You may also like to send me the work file so I can take a look.

No I am looking at it on the QT movie and a broadcast monitor. The file i have was just to test the plugin. all i really did was create text in AE CS3 on a mac pro(new intel quadcore) and popped shine on and animated the source location property from left to right and rendered out as I usually do. Could you just test on your machine and render out with lower fields? Now, it will look normal if you do a RAM preview, but once you render out with fields is the problem. Once again I really appreciate your help.

Yep, same problem here, it looks like a bug. I’ll report it.

Many thanks John. Not happy about the bug, but glad it’s not just me. Wonder which side the problem is from, AE or Trapcode/RedGiant.

I had same issue, but worked around by saving RAM preview, then used normal Render settings for interlaced output.
