Shifting of chapter markers in Architect 5.0
After editing a recent Vegas Pro 8 project and making sure everything was done correctly, I rendered the project and then authored it in DVD Architect 5.0. When I played the disc it made, I dicovered some chapter markers had shifted position resulting in the chapters not starting where I had placed them. Additionally the end of the project where I placed my logo was cut off. I then went back to Vegas thinking I had missed something. Everything looked OK even after checking the marker placements and the logo at the end. It played fine in the vegas timeline. Again after making another disc using Architect 5.0 I was having the same problems. I then checked the timeline in Architect 5.0 and disovered that the shifts and cutoff at the end, were happening there. I then made the corrections in the Architect time line and the disc played as it was intended with no marker shifts.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem with 5.0 or is it something I was doing incorrectly. Thanks -

DVD Architect (and DVD authoring software in general) can only place chapter points at I-Frames in the MPEG GOP. DVD Architect will show you an exclamation point in the marker if it is not on an I-Frame to give you an opportunity to fix it. If you do not fix it, it will shift it to the closest I-Frame which may or may not be where you want it. This is just how MPEG and chapter points work. It is something that should always be checked in DVD Architect if placement of your chapter points are critical.
