I’m using the shatter effect for the build of a brick wall. My image is brick therefore I’m using the brick pattern shape. When I add the effect and extrude to give the pieces the look of an actual brick it creates lines on the sides – I prefer the extruded sides to be one solid color. Is it possible to change this? I’ve attached an image for reference.

    Thanks!

Look at Shatter’s Texture section. I suggest that you add CC Force Motion Blur or ReVisionFX’s SmartMotionBlur to enhance the effect.

New problem – I was using custom shapes with the effect. When I change the color of the sides it forces the bricks to show up. Any way to avoid that or is it just how the effect works?

I have a brick wall made up of many shapes like the one posted below. I want each individual shape to build (with the brick shatter effect) which is working but the extruded edges look like crap because of the lines. Ideally I’d like them to be a solid color without the rectangles of the effect. Is this possible?

    Here is the example: https://i1.creativecow.net/u/201280/example.png

Thanks Roland. The effect can be confusing but now it’s making total sense. I really appreciate your help on this. Keep on rocking.

    Thx,
    Amber
