  • Sharing LUTs between systems on a Resolve Database server

Posted by Kevin Cannon on August 21, 2013 at 12:45 am

Is there a function of Resolve or Resolve database server that allows the sharing or syncing of LUTs on multiple machines?

For example, if we use a custom LUT for Alexa on one work station, currently we copy it to each workstation and refresh the lists. Sometimes we fail to get everything identical on all systems, and need to render something off on a different station. It would be convenient if that information could travel with the database server. Any such thing?

    Thanks,

    KC

not sure if it works on mac but on linux we use a alias folder that can link folders so resolve thinks its looking at the cinespace folder but its actuallly a folder on our san that all machines can see

    Thanks guys!

Resolve couldn’t follow an alias created using the OS, but creating a symlink with the ln -s terminal command worked properly.

For reference, I used this command:

    Theater1:~ Username$ ln -s (drag the Shared SAN path here) /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/LUT
