How does one share iTune playlists between users? When my wife logs-in, her iTunes have none of the playlists I have when I’m logged in. Is there a way to share the same Library and playlists without recreating them?

    hello…

you can set your library location in the itunes prefs, and in theory if you set both to the same place and put that lib in a place on the box that you both could write to (like not in one of your home dirs) then it should work…

Go into the iTunes preferences on each machine and make sure that they are both sharing AND looking for shared playlists.

I’m pretty sure it just shares playlists, not the whole library. And using this method you can only play a shared song…you can’t convert it or use it in any way. For that, look into Curtis’ suggestion.

But if she’s just trying to listen to your music, this way is a lot simpler.
