  • Share/Export Using Compressor Settings – Custom Compressor Settings are not there

When I use Share/Export Using Compressor Settings the custom settings that I made in compressor are not showing up.
What is going on? is there a bug with Compressor or FCP X?
Is there a way to fix this?

The new compressor? You have to buy the new version on app store for this function.

I would do the normal stuff, trash FCP prefs, repair permissions.

Make sure you can see the compressor settings in ~/library/application support/compressor

If that doesn’t work, trash and redownload Compressor.
If that doesn’t work, trash and redownload Final Cut Pro.

It is a good idea to keep a “fresh” copy of Final Cut and Compressor that hasn’t been launched around.

I had the same problem. But trashing and reinstalling wasn’t enough. I had to completely remove the app and all settings. You can use AppZapper for this. It completely *zap* all settings and related files. Doing this did the trick for me.
