  • Shape layers: center anchor point

    Hi everyone!

Something that really is annoying when working with shape layers is the fact that by default the anchor point is relative to the whole document. Not to the shape you are actually creating.

There most be a way to center the anchor point to what you are drawing?

    Anyone have a clue?

Use the Pan-Behind tool (looks like a crosshairs target) to move the center-point of the layer. If you have an existing animation on the layer, changing the center-point can adversely affect this.

    Thanks for the tip!

Much better than by hand adjusting the anchor point value.

But, there most be a way to automatically set the anchor point to the middle of what you are drawing? I’ve tried every key combination I can find – but nothing works. Any tips on that?
