  • Shake reduction plugin or ability in Premiere CS5?

    Hello All,

I’d like to know if there is any plugin or function in Premiere CS5 that can reduce camera shake.

If not, what are some possibilities of such a program without losing quality of the video (all videos I am using are either in Final Cut Pro Mov format or Premiere Pro MPEG2 format).

If you own the Production Suite you can use Mocha.
Otherwise have a look at Mercalli.

There is always a quality loss, depending how good the programm is.

    Mikkell,
After Effects can remove some of your, “camera shake”. You may already have this software since it is bundled with Pr in Production Premium.
Simply import the video into Ae and select, “Stabilize Motion”, in the Tracker Controls. It is not difficult but first use may take awhile.
That said, it is much easier to get a monopod.
    Cheers from Iowa!
    Greg
