  • Shadow And Light FX In Sony Vegas?

    Hi,
Does anybody know a successful way to achieve the effect “Shadow And Light” of After FX in Sony Vegas? I know there is not such an effect in Sony Vegas, so please share a way to get the same features and results of this effect with the capability of Sony Vegas.
    Thanks in advance!

There is no way. Vegas has no concept of a camera or lights or casting shadows. You need to use After Effects for this kind of work.

If you wanted to “fake it” you could use a Bump Map to simulate lighting and Track Motion Shadow to simulate shadows, but that will only take you so far.

Oh, sorry, it’s my mistake: I meant After FX’s “Shadow And Highlight” effect (from color correction directory)!!! I think I’m clear now.
There is such an effect of NewBlue FX called “Shadow And Highlight”, but it doesn’t reach anything from the results of After FX’s “Shadow And Highlight”.
So, any help and ideas, now?
    Thank you!

You can probably get close with Sony Color Curves if you want to independently adjust the highlights and shadows.
