  • SF 9 or CD creator? workflow question

I know we’re off topic.. sorry..

I have a collection of recordings that I want to put on a CD.

should I use SF and bring each piece into there.. normalize, etc..
Will soundforge export the whole ‘chain ” to CD creator?

or do i use CD creator?..

I’m new to both programs so I want to get the work flow correct.

it’s not like I’ve never done a CD… but its the main reason i got SF and CD creator.

    thanks

Did you mean CD Architect (comes bundled with SF 9) instead of CD creator?
I’d use Sound Forge for the import and clean-up of your music and CD Architect for the mastering portion as that’s where its strength is.

Mike.. then do i understand i bring song 1,2,3 etc.. into SF… normalize, etc.. -ending up with one wav file that is, say 40 min long for example…

then export that “entire” SF timeline as a “new” “wav” file ..

then bring the “new wav file” into CD – A and split the tracks back into each “recording” or track for the CD?..

also.. when making a master CD.. I’m not getting their ” process”… I’m used to building “Image” files” for my Bravo cd publisher..

how does CD Arch. handle this… ( would prefer to build an Image for Nero.. i only use the Bravo for printing anymore..

Bravo is too slow burning.. when I can do a stack of burners at one time. But boy can it crank the printing out!

    thanks
