Thanks for this post.
I tried to use the expression I found on that website – but it does not work. 🙁 It always says there are Syntax Errors and the expression will be deactivated now.

Any suggestions?

For the bounce use the Inertial bounce expression as Roland R. Kahlenberg said.
For the pearls CC Sphere. Precompose the animation and apply the sphere effect. Use the bounce expression in the z rotation of the effect.

In this animation the Spheres are 3d layers.

Hi Christian, you were provided with two URLs, which one did you try. You should also provide more information on the property that you are applying the Expression onto and the type and number of keyframes you have applied on that property.

ANy other information you can provide in terms of the layer type (2D/3D) may be helpful.

I did everything like written and putted the second expression code to the rotation property. But it says Syntax Error Line 5. (if I delete line 5 it says Syntax Error Line 11 etc.)
The Layer is a 3D Layer and I did not put any other effects on it.

Afterwards I tried the other URL with the post of Filip Vandueren and yeah – it works so far that I can create a 4-line text where every line is swinging parallel. But I want it more like an accordion … like in the video I posted. First there should only be one line visible and from that on the other lines should unfold line by line. Like a piece of paper that has been folded several times and now unfolds.

Hi Christian,
For both the position and rotation codes:

The web site has formatted the – (minus) characters so that AE doesn’t understand them. Just replace them with a normal – (minus) within AE

Also on line 5, I think that code should read as

n = n-1;

I tried them with these adjustments and it works great!
