  • settings in FCP & motion & compressor in external drive or internal raid

    HI Everyone,
I’m new to this site and hope to enjoy it.
I am about to install FCStudio 3. I have an external drive which runs my OS on it and 4 internal drives that
I’ve converted in to a RAID. I understand that I need to set my scratch disks (capture) for FCP to the RAID, while I install FCP to my external. What about my caching and autosave preferences?
Also Motion preferences? Do I set them for the RAID disk or the External? Compressor do I install that on the RAID or the External?

I sincerely hope someone can assist me with this situation and I hope to one day return the favor and pay it forward.

I keep everything on my system drive. I’m not sure if you’d hurt anything with prefs and autosave on the RAID, but Compressor (as with all apps) should be on the system drive.
