    Hi Gabriele,
H264 is the codec to use. High quality and small size.
Choose the data rate according with the size, and set “Key-frames: Automatic”.

The best export of a sequence is a QT movie export using “current settings” and being sure that “make self contained” is turned on. Of course you need to have sequence and it’s settings result in a file small enough to fit on a CD.

We’d need a lot more information about how long and what format the video you’re editing is.

hi jerry, thanks for the answer.
i’m editing a 4 minutes music video, 1280x720p, sequence is ProRes, audio 48k 16 bit, QT movie exported (current settings) is 480M sized. guess is if it’s already a good size or I should try h264 as Rafael suggested..
    thanks again

    Try some 4.000Kbps.
You must try to keep the data rate low because you are playing from a CD.
Once you have the clip toast it in a data CD to see how plays in RT.

If the file is to be playable on any machine with QuickTime installed for just viewing (not editing) Follow Rafael’s advice. If it’s to be edited then it’s best to not use h.264
