Setting up Kona LHe on Quad G5 2.5 Challenges
Hey, everyone. Anyone have any ideas why the picture I’m getting is a kind of greenish, keyed looking thing? I do not have a black burst generator, so I’m wondering if that’s the problem, though it doesn’t seem like it. When I generate bars from the Kona Control Panel, they look great going through my HDLink to my Dell 24″ display. However, as soon as I go to FCP to play back bars from it, they look horrible. I’ve tried many different settings with no help. It’s almost like when you only have R and G of an RGB cable plugged in or something.
So, any help would be MUCH appreciated.
My system: Quad G5 2.5, 1.5G ram, coming out SDI to LHe Kbox. Out via SDI/BNC to BMD HDLink.

Okay, my apologies to AJA…the BlackMagic HDLink was the culprit. After a reboot, everything started showing up fine. What’s still strange to me is that the bars from AJA were fine THROUGH the HDLink, but the bars from FCP were bad. Hmmm…it’s working now…that’s all that matters!
