  • Setting up FCP to read my P2 card reader

Posted by Roberto Yambo on August 20, 2007 at 7:45 pm

I need help here I have got a new camera a Panasonic DVCPRO 50.
I also got a Panasonic AJ-PCD20 P2 Card reader. My problem is I cannot get my clips from the reader onto my FCP. I installed the driver disc that came with the reader. I go to the file menu on FCP but it doesn’t say Panasonic P2… like it’s supposed to. I have tried a regular file /import /files but that doesn’t work either. What do I need to do please help me…

    VERSION OF FINAL CUT PRO…
FCP 5.0 and 5.1 had the import option named P2 IMPORT. But FCP 6 changed the name to LOG & TRANSFER.

Sorry, I am strictly a POST guy…I don’t know cameras all that well, and I have only SEEN that one once. At NAB.

    Didn’t touch.
